Sue Whimster Curtains was contacted by Charlotte Robb, of Lawson Robb Interiors, to help with curtains and soft furnishings for a Penthouse apartment in the heart of Kensington. Having worked with Sue on several projects in South Kensington, Hyde Park, Richmond, Bayswater, Notting Hill, Knightsbridge, Wimbledon and Regents Park they were confident that she would be able to help.

The specification included upholstered pelmets, bed throws, cushions, curtains & electric blinds, as well as the dressings for a four-poster bed. The floor to ceiling headboards had to be made on site by Sue’s skilled fitters, as access to the apartment was restricted. It would not have been possible to deliver the headboards assembled. Sue also supplied Perspex poles that complimented the lined and interlined silk curtains beautifully. The most difficult task was to make-up a set of curtains that were over 4.50 metres long and 4.00 metres wide. The logistics of having them fitted involved hiring a builder’s tower. The project was finished within schedule and Lawson Robb and their client were thrilled with the out come.
